“I have a cottage in Oliphant. I maintain my own graphs of water levels to entertain myself. With the summer season here, I thought followers of this web site might be interested having a look at them.”
The data I use for the graphs comes from the US Corp of Engineers Detroit web site.
Some April highlights:
- the average Lake Huron water levels for April this year were 7 inches higher than average April water levels last year
- Lake Huron water levels on the 30th of April this year were 8 ¾ inches higher than on the 30th of April last year
- last year, Lake Huron Water levels reached their highest point in the period June 28 to July 03. The water level on the 30th of April this year was 2 inches above last years peak.
- It has been 30 years since average April water levels were as high as this April
