This is the science fair project created by local student Islay Graham, with which she won nationals! We are very proud and excited to have her present to you.
Piping Plovers: Comparing Populations Across North America
A presentation being done by Plover Lovers’ own Outreach and Education Coordinator, Kirsten Snoek. Kirsten has worked with Piping Plovers in Atlantic Canada, and now that she is working with the Great Lakes Piping Plover birds, we thought it would be interesting to take a look at the species as a whole across the continent, including the Prairie population, and see how different conservation efforts are helping this species at risk to survive.
